I love E-bay...

The other night though I thought I'd have a nosy on eBay to see if they had a little table that I could use in my bedroom and some how I stumbled across the most gorgeous chest of drawers, of course I thought its bound to be miles away in Scotland or something as it was a 'pick up only' item but to my delight it was only a short drive away in Exeter, I decided to have a bid, and hooray! I won it!!

Well, its way to big for the bedroom so it is now standing very proudly in my sitting room. The room has needed a substantial piece of furniture for a while (other things just seemed to look a bit lost) and this chest of drawers is just perfect.

I also had another treat this week, and that was the arrival of my long awaited (since December may I add!) Laura Ashley butterfly jug. It sits perfectly on my chest of drawers and with a bunch of daffodils it certainly brightens up these miserable days were having!

So I am back to being an obsessive eBay fan, constantly looking to try and find another fabulous item at a bargain price...I'm sure I'm not the only one like this?...Am I??? xxx

Hello
That is so lovely and all that extra drawer space too. I love the butterfly jug too. I have a linen shirt with butterflies on and it is one of my most favourite ones. Ebay is good, but i always end up missing out!my heart starts beating really fast right at the end (me getting too excited!).
Love your blog its lovely x

You're defntiely in the most fantastic company Jennifer - aherm.... I admit to spending an unhealthy amount of time on ebay. I rarely spend more than a fiver but no sooner have I won something then I'm onto the next treaure (currently looking for 40s style stockings and a diamante brooch - yes another!)

The chest of drawers is so lovely. It looks perfect where you have it. I'm also a big ebay fan although I go in phases of searching. Sometimes I get a bit obsessed and end up buying too much so have to give myself a break. I've never bought anything as big as a chest of drawers before though.

Oh I love your chest!!! It would go perfect in my new hall!! I must be the only one who isn't addicted to E-bay, the cups I bought from you were one of the only things I've bought from there, the other item I purchased was a few years ago, a dvd for hubby, one of his fave films is a Kevin Costner film which I can't remenber title of, it's been deleted here but still available in the US, so I managed to get one, turns out it was a film with the same name but lets just say it wasn't suitable for children!! He found it hysterical!!
I've avoided E Bay as I know if I get into it, i will be bankrupt..lol

That is GORGEOUS, such a great find. I love ebay, if you check out my blog and under quick links "furniture" you'll see all my peices. Im 22 and building a home full of treasures for me and my husband. I love searching for unique pieces rather than cookie-cutter factory produced items.

I've been a fan of your blog for awhile now and I'm all the way over in Sydney, Australia. You have a beautiful home.

What a lovely chest. It lookes like it was made for your home. I personally have never used ebay (even though my husband is an expert) as I'm frightened I will become addicted! I spend enought time on the computer as it is with all the gorgeous blogs out there. Yours being one of my favourites.

Love the chest, it looks great in your room. I must admit to either loving ebay or hating it with a vengeance, no middle ground. The best times are when you stumble across something you weren't actually searcing for as in your case.

I love flowers in jugs, sometimes it can look rather contrived though but your daffs and L.A jug look lovely.

Hi Jen,

was only thinking of you today..that we'd become 'virtual friend' on facebook and that I haven't even said hi yet. Anyway onto another subject, the wonderful butterfly jug...you've inspired me! Mine is sat all alone in my cupboard...I was waiting for summer, but what a fab idea... to use it as a vase. I'm going to treat myself to some more flowers (any excuse hey) Jackie x
