I was having a little peek through all my old photos today and came across
the file that holds all the pic's of my old house...
Its funny how looking back at old photos can trigger certain emotions,
and I felt quite sad thinking of how happy we were in the old cottage.
Of course I am so pleased to finally be on the property ladder,
but while our new house is in such a mess
(holes still in ceilings, walls missing etc)
and it doesn't seem to be getting any better in a hurry,
it is very difficult to imagine it ever actually being a real 'home'.
Anyway enough of that sillyness!
The central heating is being started this weekend
(fingers & toes crossed!)
and then Clive can start putting our little home back together...
And before long I can start choosing paint colours and wallpaper,
I cant wait for that bit!!!
I thought you might like a little reminder of my old house so
I'll share a few pictures with you...
...of course it was always this tidy and organized!lol!
I hope your having a good week so far, isn't this weather we've been having just lovely,
it wont be long and the sunny evenings will be here...Yippee!!!
Love Jennifer x

What gorgeous photos, I'm sure with your eye for detail your new home will be just as good or even better.
I agree these sunny days are gorgeous, makes all the work on our houses seem worth it when you can sit back on a sunny evening with a glass of wine!!

Wow - your house looks like it was a gorgeous place to be. I love the garden picture especially - but it is all so pretty. I'm sure your new pad will soon look like this!

Dear Jennifer,
so charming your old house. But there is no question: Your new domicil will be homey, canny and full of phantasie and magic! I look forward next pictures and news.
Kind regards from seaside

Building and renovating is a huge process. I am sure your new home will be beautiful before you know it. Love the old one!
What a lovely place your last home looks but it won't be long before your new one will be looking just as nice. The mess seems to be there for ages and then suddenly it all comes together and it won't be long before you will be choosing colours and doing the decorating.
Jennifer, what a lovely home.. all are beautifully arranged.. I love all your rooms. thanks for sharing.. hope your new home will be up soon.. and have fun in picking up the paints and wallpapers.. :-)

Hello, you have a wonderful blog.Your home is very tasteful and furnished comfortably.Love greetings,Elke.
Your old cottage was absolutely lovely.. and it makes think about what the new one will become!!! I think you have a stunning taste for interiors, and I really enjoy visiting your blog and getting inspiration from your pictures. I'll probably move to Swindon by next summer and Somerset doesn't seem too far away.. so hopefully I'll come to see your amazing shop. Hugs federica

What a lovely home you had. I love the fireplace. We are under construction as well. It's been a long three years, but we are finally seeing the light @ the end of the tunnel. you will get there too, hopefuly a lot faster than we have.
What a fabulous home you had, no doubt your new home will be equally as beautiful when the renovation is complete. The hard work put in is always worth it in the end. x
